CALL FOR PAPERS
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Nicola Antonio Manfroce, the Institute of Calabrian Music Bibliography (Istituto di bibliografia musicale calabrese)
will be organizing an international convention on the theme "Nicola Manfroce and music in Naples in the late 18th and early 19th centuries," to be held in Palmi (Reggio Calabria) November 8 – 10, 2013.
Palmi lies at the foot of Mount Sant’Elia, facing the Costa Viola with its splendid white beaches set into sheer cliffs. It may be reached easily following the A3 motorway, by main line train and/or by plane (Lamezia International Airport or Reggio Calabria Airport).
The deadline for those interested in presenting papers with regard to the theme of the convention is 31 May, 2013.
Proposals for papers must include title and abstract max. 200 characters to be sent to <ibimuscalabrese at libero.it>. For further information see www.ibimuscalabrese.it.
Regrettably, the present financial crisis does not permit us to offer hospitality or paid expenses to participants.
