JOB: BERKELEY: Associate Professor - Musicology, 20th and/or 21st Centuries - Music

Description

The Department of Music at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track/tenured) in musicology, twentieth and/or twenty-first centuries. The expected start date is July 1, 2016.
Basic qualifications: Applicants for an assistant professor position must have completed all degree requirements except the dissertation (or equivalent) at the time of application; applicants for an associate professor position must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in musicology or a related field at the time of application. Preferred qualifications: At the associate level, preference will be given to applicants with a distinguished record of research and publication; at the assistant professor level, preference will be given to applicants demonstrating clear evidence of scholarly potential. For applicants for an assistant professor position, a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in musicology or a related field must be in hand by the time of employment.
