Part-Time, Non Tenure Track Position(s) in Music History

The Department of Music at Tufts University announces a part-time, non-tenure-track position in music history teaching one or two courses -- one in Fall 2013 (September 3 – December 19, 2013), and one in Spring 2014 (January 15 – May 9, 2014). Candidates should be committed to contributing to a comprehensive and inclusive music department, with substantial offerings in musicology and Western art music, ethnomusicology and world music, composition, jazz, music technology, and performance. Ph.D. preferred (ABD will be considered); college-level teaching experience required.

Teaching responsibilities will involve an introductory opera course for non-majors in the Fall (scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 - 4:15 p.m.) and/or a course on music and film in the Spring (schedule to be determined in the Fall).
