PhD and MPhil fee-waiver studentships

Bath Spa University is offering up to ten full-time PhD / MPhil fee waiver studentships starting in the academic year 2013/14. Up to 5 studentships are available for practice based and practice led PhD / MPhil awards and up to 5 studentships are available for interdisciplinary PhD / MPhil awards across more than one subject area. These are all linked to the University’s areas of research strength in creativity, culture and enterprise.

Possible topics in Music include:

• experimental music / composition, especially open forms and notation
• composer-performer collaborations across different music genres
• creative interaction and collaborative process in contemporary music and its performance
• rehearsal as creative process
• visual music / audiovisual practice
• performance / installation

We welcome proposals that intersect with these areas especially in relation to the performing arts, creative writing or visual psychology.

 Visual Music (Music and Film Studies)

 and 

Creative Interaction and Collaborative Process (Musicology, Composition and Performance)
