The successful candidate must have a completed PhD by May 2013, a proven record of successful and creative teaching, and clearly demonstrated activity within the professional field of music theory.
Primary duties will include (1) teaching: courses within the undergraduate written and aural theory sequence, upper-level undergraduate, and graduate-level courses; (2) research: maintaining creative scholarly activity as defined in the School of Music’s criteria for promotion and tenure; (3) service: active participation in assigned service activities, including advising, graduate committees (e.g., master's theses, DMA monographs, and PhD dissertations), curriculum development and assessment, and other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Music that contribute to the School and the University.
