Applications are invited for three fully-funded doctoral research studentships in a new Research Network funded by the White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities. The studentships are dedicated to the investigation of ‘Expressive nonverbal communication in ensemble performance’.
The network is between the University of Sheffield (Departments of Music and Computer Science), York University (Departments of Electronics and Music), and University of Leeds (Schools of Music and Psychology). Applicants with an interdisciplinary background in music, psychology and/or computer science are particularly encouraged to apply.
Studentship 1 (Sheffield): Teaching and learning of ensemble coordination
Studentship 2 (York): Achieving excellence in ensemble singing
Studentship 3 (Leeds): Movement and sonic gestures in ensemble performance and audience responses
