Primary Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in Western Music History in addition to World Music, including American Popular Music/Ethnomusicology.  Additional teaching assignments may include applied study, Music Appreciation or other appropriate interdisciplinary courses offered by the department, or in a secondary area as assigned.  Advising and mentoring students is an important component of this position.  Service will include departmental, college, and university committees as assigned.  This position also serves as the library liaison, working and consulting with Library and Arts Resources Center staff to coordinate departmental and university holdings of music books, scores, and multi-media.
