Your research outputs are likely to achieve Grade 3 or Grade 4 in the Research Exercise Framework assessment. You will have the potential to develop a research centre that draws together the rich expertise in creative practice and research in the Music Department and across the college, and you will have experience in, or potential for, writing successful research proposals and directing research activities. You will have significant experience teaching music and media at university level, and in convening and developing programmes. You will be able to attract post-graduate and research students. The Department of Music contributes to the College’s research on how creative relates to academic practice, and you will demonstrate some sympathy with this focus, and with the College’s interdisciplinary research culture. Experience in practice-based work would be advantageous.
