Call for Papers

The  Society for Theory of Music of Russia (Obshchestvo Teorii Muzyki, OTM) is glad to announce its Second International Congress that will take place from September 26 to 29 September 2015 at the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

This event will be dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Moscow Conservatory. Papers that cover wide range of topics are welcome. The theme of the Congress is Schools and Directions in Music Scholarship, Performance and Composition.  Emphasis will be given to papers and panel proposals that present various schools of music theory, music history, theories of music meaning, performance and composition. We will celebrate the Moscow school of theory and other traditions related to major institutions of musical education and research centers.

Individual paper and panel proposals are welcome.

– The title and abstract not exceeding 800 words, as a file attachment in MSWord;
– The applicant’s name, place of work or study, position, educational degree and academic rank (if applicable);
– The e-mail address and contact telephone number.

For panel proposals—additional panel abstract not exceeding 800 words

The deadline for is proposals May 1, 2015.

Abstracts must be submitted by email: otmroo -at- mail.ru to the Reading Committee of the OTM.
