Musicology Tenure-Track Position at St. Olaf College

Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music – Musicology at St. Olaf College

The St. Olaf College Music Department seeks a musicologist whose primary responsibility will be to teach Western music history, including survey courses and upper level electives for music majors as well as offerings for non-majors. A secondary responsibility will be to teach courses within the music department in an additional area of expertise. The appointee will work with the music librarian to help students develop writing and research skills within the context of the music history curriculum, and will likely be involved in interdisciplinary teaching, for example, First Year Writing. Completed doctorate by August 15, 2014 is strongly preferred.
