PRECEPTOR POSITION IN MUSIC

The Department of Music at Harvard University anticipates an opening in Music at the rank of Preceptor to begin with the academic year 2013-2014.  Responsibilities will include teaching two introductory courses at the undergraduate level in music theory, a graduate musicianship course, thesis advising and working with undergraduates on special projects.

The is a one-year position, with the possibility of renewal on a yearly basis for up to a total of eight years, based on performance, enrollments, and curricular need.
