Job Area:  Music History

Qualified applicants for tenure-track position in Music History (Western art music) in its newly established School of Music.  Responsibilities include: teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses and advising graduate students; active scholarly work in the field. Other duties may be assigned depending on the candidate’s qualifications and departmental needs. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualification and experience.

Rank: Assistant/Associate Professor.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding scholar with significant contribution to the field and will lead and develop an undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Demonstrated excellence in teaching desired. Earned Ph.D. required (ABD considered). Proficiency of Chinese language is preferred but not required.
