The candidate should have a background in empirical methods related to (embodied) music cognition, with a profound knowledge of music. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a new interdisciplinary media center in Ghent (from 2015 onwards), where IPEM will deploy its activities in close collaboration with a multimedia research group from engineering. 

There are 2 positions for 4 competing research groups. Whether a candidate will be selected for IPEM depends on the quality of the applicant, and that of the other competing applicants (including those that apply to other research groups).
